Byfield Parish Church Annual Meeting Tuesday, May 21, 7:00 PM Fellowship Hall
Our church was founded upon a congregational form of government as described in the by-laws which states: “the government of this church is vested in its members.” The day-to-day operation is under the control of various boards and committees, but they must adhere to the restrictions placed upon them by the by-laws and votes taken at church meetings.
Topics to be discussed and/or voted on include:
The 2013-14 fiscal year budget
Officers, board and committee members
A proposal for enhancing our communications via our website and social media
The Five-Year Plan
Attendees will receive a copy of all committees’ annual reports, including a detailed summary of our financial position and proposed budget for the coming year.
The Annual Meeting provides each member with a unique opportunity (and responsibility) to be directly involved in the carrying out of God’s work here at Byfield Parish. As your Moderator, I urge you to attend the meeting on Tuesday, May 21, at 7:00 PM to take advantage of this opportunity.
